On January 16, 2021 around 9:45 am Tarrant Police/Fire were dispatched to the 1200 block of Hanover Street on an assault victim.  Once on scene the victim Michael Berry was found bleeding from the head and was in serious life-threatening condition, Berry was transported to UAB.  On January 19, 2021 Berry died from his injuries from the apparent assault.  Anyone who may have seen anything or have knowledge of what took place is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama.
