According to a report filed with Birmingham PD a robbery occurred December 1, 2021, approximately 8:00 pm, at a Family Dollar in the 3000 block of 12th Avenue North.  A male reportedly entered the store, walked over to the drink cooler and got a Powerade, then approached the counter as if he intended to pay for it.  Once the cashier opened the register the male reportedly pointed a handgun at the employees behind the counter and demanded the money from the register.  He then walked out of the store and headed west on foot.  Detectives obtained surveillance video images of the pictured person they believe to be a suspect in this case.  If you recognize this suspect, or know anything about this case, please contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama.  You remain anonymous and the information you provide to Crime Stoppers leading to the charge and arrest of an identified suspect could result in a cash reward.
