Birmingham Detectives Need to Identify Suspect in a Robbery

According to a report filed with Birmingham PD a robbery occurred April 15, 2022, approximately 8:30 pm, at a Family Dollar in the 5400 block of 1^st Avenue North.  A black male, described as 5’6” to 5’8” tall, reportedly entered the business and pointed a handgun at the cashier as he approached the register.  He demanded the money from the register and the cashier complied.  The male subject then left the business and walked westbound on 1^st Avenue North.  Detectives obtained surveillance video images of the pictured subject inside the business during the time the robbery reportedly occurred and need to identify him as a suspect.  If you recognize this suspect, or know anything about this crime, please contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama.  You remain anonymous and the information you provide to Crime Stoppers leading to the charge and arrest of an identified suspect could result in a cash reward.
