On Friday January 18th, 2019, the body of Brandon Joel Franklin was discovered in the 7300 block of 2nd Avenue South in Birmingham. According to investigators, Mr. Franklin was at his residence in Moody Alabama the night before his body was discovered. On the morning Mr. Franklin’s body was found, his wife woke up to find that that both he and his silver Volkswagen Beetle were not at their residence. The victim’s vehicle was located days later, just a few miles from where his body was discovered. According to investigators, blood was discovered in the passenger seat of the victim’s vehicle. Based on the evidence, investigators believe that it is possible the victim may have been transported in his own vehicle to the location his body was discovered.
