205-254-7777The Birmingham Police Department is asking for help with investigating the 2018 shooting of 20-year-old Kijuan Harrell. The police department says Harrell was murdered on June 23, 2018.
According to a release, officers responded to the 500 block of Valley Avenue at approximately 1:30 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Harrell in the front passenger seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue took him to UAB where he died a short time later.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates shots were fired by someone in a black vehicle believed to be a Nissan Maxima.
