According to Police reports, several burglaries occurred in the Bessemer cut-off area that all appear to be perpetrated by the same suspect, who appears to be a black male wearing all black and a ski mask (pictured below). He used a sledge hammer to break in, either breaking through a wall or door. The first two burglaries happened on April 25th 2026 within a few minutes of each other in the 7000 block of Birmingport Road. Another happened on May 5th in the 1000 block of Eastern Valley Road, and two more on May 7th on Warrior River Road, all with the same method. Only cash was taken in each incident. It is possible this same suspect also burglarized a store in the Adamsville area using similar methods.
