According to a report filed with Birmingham PD a robbery occurred February 17, 2021, approximately 6:30 PM, at a shoe store in the 2600 block of 31st Avenue North.  Detectives obtained a surveillance video image of the pictured suspect inside the business during the time the crime reportedly occurred.  He is described as a black male, 5’4” to 5’5” tall, 200-230 lbs., with a low afro wearing blue jeans, a blue jean jacket, and hoodie.  According to report this subject was attempting to pass counterfeit twenty-dollar bills and threatened to shoot a clerk if the bills were not accepted for payment of merchandise.  If you know anything about this crime please contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama.  You remain anonymous and the information you provide to Crime Stoppers leading to the charge and arrest of an identified suspect could result in a cash reward.
