On April 23, 2025, Demetrius Dwight Broom, 53 years old, pictures above, was found deceased in the 1500 block of Pratt Highway. Mr. Broom had been beaten and suffered from multiple stab wounds. Mr. Broom was last seen in the Fairfield area at the Citgo gas station (301 Valley Road) on April 22, 2025, around 6 p.m.
