REWARD INCREASED TO $12,500 According to a report filed with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Kendall Jarod Thornton Jr. was murdered on November 6, 2022 at approximately 10:30 pm. Mr. Thornton was driving his blue Kia Forte on Pinson Valley Parkway near Cleage Drive, when someone shot into his car. Mr. Thornton was shot and his car left the roadway striking a tree. Detectives believe that there were other vehicles close by when this happened and are asking for help from the public with solving this homicide.
