According to a report filed with Birmingham PD a robbery occurred January 16, 2022, approximately 9:15 pm, at a Family Dollar in the 7300 block of 1st Avenue North.  A black male described as 6’2” tall, 180 lbs., wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and white tennis shoes reportedly entered the business and demanded money.  When the cashier didn’t immediately comply, the subject brandished a handgun and threatened to shoot him.  Detectives obtained surveillance video images of the pictured person inside the business during the time of the reported crime and deem him to be a suspect they need to identify.  If you recognize this suspect, or know anything about this crime, please contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama.  You remain anonymous and the information you provide to Crime Stoppers leading to the charge and arrest of an identified suspect could result in a cash reward.
