According to a report filed with Birmingham PD a robbery occurred February 5, 2022, approximately 7:30 pm, at a Walgreens in the 600 block of Lomb Avenue.  A black male described as 5’9” tall, 175 lbs., wearing a black hoodie, beanie, jeans, and medical mask, entered the business and waited on customers to clear before approaching the cashier and demanding money from the register.  When the cashier hesitated in complying the male produced a handgun, described as a black Glock pistol, whereupon the cashier handed him the cash.  Detectives obtained surveillance video images of a person inside the business during the time the crime occurred they need to identify as a suspect.  The also obtained images of a vehicle in which they believe this suspect was travelling, possibly a newer model Mercedes Benz.  If you recognize this suspect, or know anything about this crime, please contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama.  You remain anonymous and the information you provide to Crime Stoppers leading to the charge and arrest of an identified suspect could result in a cash reward.
