Birmingham Police Seek Information on 2018 Homicide

The Birmingham Police Department is asking for help from the public concerning a 2018 homicide investigation. According to Detectives, in June of 2018 Kijuan Harrell was a passenger in a car travelling in the 400 block of Valley Avenue in Birmingham. An altercation occurred between the occupants of the car Mr. Harrell was in and the occupants of a second vehicle. Someone in the second vehicle fired shots resulting in the death of Mr. Harrell. Detectives believe the persons in these vehicles knew each other and were involved in an ongoing dispute. Detectives are asking that anyone that witnessed this incident, or has any information pertaining to it, to please contact Birmingham Police or Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama. When providing information through Crime Stoppers, you can remain anonymous, and if the information provided leads to an arrest, you may receive a cash reward up to $5,000.
