According to a report filed with the Calera Police Department, an attempted bank robbery occurred on January 23, 2023, at approximately 11:25am. This occurred at the Central State Bank, located in the 0 hundred block of Hwy 87 in Calera. An unidentified person entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. This person fled the scene on foot and detectives believe he was picked up by an unidentified white male driving a white vehicle. Detectives obtained these photos from video surveillance and are asking for help from the public with identifying the person shown.
