Jefferson County Detectives Need Information Regarding the Murder of Sean Avant

On February 10, 2020, the body of Sean Avant was located off a walking trail approaching Bay View Lake near the 200 block of Mulga Loop Road. He had been reported missing to Birmingham PD February 8, 2020. Subsequent examination of the body indicated Avant was the victim of a homicide. Detectives are requesting information from anyone that may know where the victim had been during the time he was reported missing, who was with him, and the circumstances leading to his death.
