Jefferson County Detectives Need to Identify Suspect in an Attempted Car Burglary

According to detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office the pictured person is suspected of attempting to break into two vehicles parked at a residence in the 2800 block of 2nd Street NW of Center Point. Detectives obtained surveillance video images of the suspect attempting to enter these vehicles while parked in the driveway of this residence on April 6, 2020, at approximately 3:00 am. Both vehicles were locked at the time and the suspect left the area after lifting the door handles and determining this. The suspect is described as a young black male wearing a two-tone hoodie and what appeared to be sweatpants. If you recognize this person please contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama.
